Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Pediatric Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work Monday-Friday on-site in clinic.
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant would be taking over a full-time bilingual pediatric caseload.
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will be responsible for providing individualized therapy sessions to children with various communication disorders under the supervision of a board certified bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist.
The role involves implementing established treatment plans, writing daily clinical notes, tracking patient progress, and preparing appropriate therapy materials.
This is an on-site role located in downtown Washington, D.C.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based, and neuro-affirming therapy for pediatric populations with a range of diagnoses
- Be confident in co-treating with OTs and PTs and understanding the role sensory regulation plays in ALL patients
- Passionate about building family relationships with caregivers and patients
- Equipped to carry out collaborative, patient-centered/child-led, play-based therapy
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- 1-2 years experience preferred
- Experience with a wide range of language, articulation, and motor speech disorders. Experience with AAC users and executive functioning disorders preferred, but not required
- Someone who is passionate about helping children feel confi dent, connected, and capable across environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to confi dently work and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of each child
